Evolution: Bioacoustics, behaviour, and Genetics
I recently received the title of doctor from the Radboud University Nijmegen. I conducted my thesis work as a collaboration of the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics in the Neurogenetics of Vocal Communication group and the AG Wiegrebe at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. I investigated vocal plasticity and learning in phyllostomid bats with the aim of establishing them as a mammalian model system for the study of language and speech acquisition.
